Hi guys,

Got some news from my civic.
Last Friday i have been to the dealer to get my technical certification ... Second time

I fixed all he listed me ( rear sway arm bushings, smoketest (had some bad emissions--> reason catalyzer was cold) fixed with some "Vtecing" on the highway, but i still got probs with the rear breaks)

The main rear brake is too weak. Front brakes are tip top.Handbrake works as well.
He told me that i have to replace the brake distributer.  (I never heard of a honda brakedistributer failure).
The working front brake imly that the brake booster is working well, but we are not 100% sure.

Currently its looks no good for the EE meet.
I ll let you know if we found the problem.
Any hints are welcome.

Alex

actually im thinking about a big brake from the teg.
so i would replace the rear brakes anyway.
but up till now i couldnt find brakes in good condition or cheap ones to overhaul.
Then i only have to worry about the booster/master cylinder / distributer

@ buggs

The short term plan is:

to replace the rear brakes with the big ones from the teg (and see how it will work with the big at the rear and stock on the front)
Maybe change the the front too.
I want to change all of the bushings with ES bushings since its a great improvement of the overall car performance.

The long term plan is to get a good suspension setup (koni, d2, ??) and some light weight wheels.
Swap the motor, but didnt decide which one yet.
A steering wheel that fits the car(cause the stock one is crap).
Any add some other performance enhancing parts (e.g.: LSD,...).

It has to be 100% street legal. And it should be possible to use it as a dailydriver in summer.
So my goal is to creat a good looking car with good performance, where every part harmonizes with the other as good a possible.
Therefor im always looking out for good parts.

What im not going to do is to add any strange plastic ebay bumpers or kind of that stuff.

that is very nice and clean.  paint still looks glossy and shiny.

you mentioned doing a motor swap, what motor is currently in it?   didnt the ee9 come with a b16a?
