Spooning In Japan
« on: January 21, 2008, 12:09:50 pm »

For many motorsports enthusiasts, Spoon is the first name that comes to mind whenever someone brings up Honda Tuning.
By Robert Carrier.

According to my map, hastily downloaded from the Internet and entirely devoid of romeiji characters, the building should be to my left.
I am searching for the headquarters of Spoon Sports ? the company many consider to be responsible for the birth of the "JDM" (Japanese Domestic Market) tuning scene in America.
However, I ? just your average American Motive reader ? don't have an appointment, nor do I speak Japanese, so I'm not entirely confident of my chances at obtaining access.
But it soon becomes clear that the trip won't be a complete write-off ? I somehow manage to locate this Mecca of Japanese tuning using nothing but my map-cum-manga.
