Lauz: EG stolen and burned down, moving on to the next civ
« on: January 09, 2008, 07:40:35 pm »
Hi guys,

Let me introduce myself: My name is Laurens a.k.a. Lauz, 23 years old and the proud owner of a civic vtec, just like the most of you guys  :up:
I always wanted to own a nice, japanese, fast car, so i started saving money and drove around for 3 years without owning my own car (i hated it, but i had to ride my mom's shitty Ford Ka...damn that thing sucked :stupid:)

So, this is my very first car i bought. It's a '91 Civic i-vt with about 180 bhp. Its got a Mugen manifold, Mugen Chip, Supersprint exhaust system (not for long, i'm thinking about an Invidia GT exhaust system), bigger Brembo brake discs, a Nissin suspension kit and a AKR-shortshifter. Its not much, but it's a start  :wink:
3 years ago the car was repainted in 'Rio Red'  by the previous owner (too bad it aint Barcelona Green/black but hey, there are plenty of those :wink:). So the paint is crispy-clean.

Well I hope you like it, and hopefully you can help me when i've got some questions or things like that.

Greetz

Lauz

Hi Laurens, welcome to our community. :up:
I find it hard to beleive that your car has 180bhp with those modifications, do you have any proof of that?

1pk= 735,5 Watt
1Bhp= 745,7 Watt

Welcome to the CV.org forums :up:

Nice looking EE9, but I also have some thoughts if your car really has "180hp"

We had a dyno-meet last year and some of us didnt even go up to 170hp.
I think your car has been "tested" by that dyno on the Japanese Car Festival at Assen.
The guy who owns that things gets about 180hp out of every car :grin:

Stick around the forum and we will have another dyno-meet this year, last year was a good meeting
and alot of fun watching what everybodys car does on a real dyno.

Got some detailed picture of that "Mugen" header? A picture of the Mugen badge?
And Mugen doesnt make chips, they only make complete ECU's
But enough flaming for now, have fun here  :angel:

Ohh hell, enough with this bullshit! I'm here to learn, so bring it on! :up:

Thats the right attitude :up:

I see it so many times on Marktplaats where people try to sell their car with great stories
with how many ponies they have under the bonnet :grin:
And what has been done to the car to get those numbers.

But like you said, you are here to learn and enjoy yourself with people who share the same passion.
I'm driving a Civic for 7 years now I think, first a 1.6 ED7, then a EE9, and now my 2nd EE9.
And I'm still learning stuff everyday.
